Hello,
I have a "little" issue with my PC (laptop). How can I start...

I had dual-boot on my PC, Windows 7 and Kali Linux (for testing security).
I have one HDD and Linux was on one small (about 28GB) partition, which I have cutted from OS partition.
So after long time not using Kali Linux I decided to format/clean that partition. It did not work with diskpart.exe (cant remember what was the problem).

Next I rebooted PC and changed BOOT option in BIOS to boot GRUB as first to get to Kali Linux. Kali Linux didnt work (it hasnt started just opened some terminal on full screen).
I tried to start Windows using grub, didnt work.
I change BIOS option how it was, and Windows didnt start (0xc000000f error). F8 recovery worked, but I closed it, because I have som bad experience with it (accidentaly formated C: about year ago).
When I have no idea what to do next, I tried to start it again, but after pressing F8 nothing happened. I tried Installation CD, repair CD (which I made with some files from C->Recovery and C->Windows>Boot), repair CD made by another PC (laptop withoud CD-ROM) with Windows 7 64x, but every time it said, that Its incompatible with my version of Windows.
I forgot to say, taht I deleted that grub option from BIOS (dont ask why, I did it).

I find a lot of things that should help.
At last I tried Active@ Boot Disk (version 4.0.1) and in console I accidentaly cleaned (no parametres) my HDD with diskpart.exe.
Activ@e Boot Disk has Partition Recovery so I scaned for partitions and (partitions with good status) I saved partitions (with the best status of each instead that partition with Linux) as image (DIM) on my external HDD.
I didnt write anything on my PCs HDD so files arent overwritten (shouldnt be).

Active@ File Recovery have som function called RAID (maybe it can help, but I didnt understand very well what it will do and there is still problem with already taken drive letters (C,D,...)).

My question is: How to safely recover that partitions with their original letters (C,D,...) and settings?
(Active Boot Disk cant recover partitions, it says that hard drive is incopatible or something like that.)
(My USB key (BOOT) has taken letter C and DVD drive has taken D).

I can imagine a bootable USB with tool, that can recover all partitions (and files) on hard drive to their original status.

Sorry for my English and how this thread looks like, but I dont have much time now. Thx for reply!

OK
I could remove USB ( C: ) bcs Active Boot Disk (version 4.0.1) was already in RAM and I unmounted DVD drive ( D: ) using cmd in Active Boot Disk (ABD)... And I also initialized HDD using one of tools in ABD (I think it was called Atcive Hard Disk Monitor or something like that) and than I was able tp recover partitions one by one using Partition Recovery (except Linux partition)... Marked OS Partition as bootable... My next step was trying to fix that problem before...

Yeah... You wont believe, but repair section in installation disc was working after it asked to repair and restart... Oh finally GOOD NEWS... It was not easy to get to menu with console option, but using recovery option and canceling that sh^t I got there.

Than I used some commands from:
http://think-like-a-computer.com/2015/04/17/boot-bcd-0xc000000f-windows-7/

And after all that they recommended HERE ^^^^^^^^.... It didnt work... Yeah... I was angry... Like all of that time sitting by that "useful" piece of... And... After pressing ENTER (with Installation disc still inside my DVD drive) some times (or some another KEY) that happened... Yeah you wont believe it... Options menu with option to Start Windows normally... all was working, all files was there where they was before, I expanded OS partition with that few GBs where Linux was, I have done some another work like chkdsk...

And than I was courious if this laptop can boot again... Yeah... It couldnt... SMILE... "It isnt so BAD" I thought... Yeah... I put that Windows 7 repair disc downloaded from internet in... Waiting... Pressing Next... Waiting.... And that asked to repair and restart again... YES of course... It didnt work... Again that 0xc000000f... Than I restarted it (Ctrl+Alt+Delete) and quickly pressed ESC... Booted DVD drive... But... Windows successfully booted again... YEAH! Oh... CHKDSK... Yeah I forced it to start after restart... OK CHKDSK ended... Disc cleaning... Yeah much more time... But ended too... OK Thats the end of this poem (not really)... Maybe someone of u guys can end it instead of me... Just post me your ideas or solutions, please...

BOOT partition, bootmgr... What is BAD?

Thank you for reply.

So thats it...

I finally Cut n Paste all data from 200MB SYSTEM partition to desktop and formated it to NTFS (I was just trying bcs it was FAT32 and I dont kno why)... And Cut n Paste all files back to it, removed letter, activated it... Yeah than I replaced C - Windows - Boot - PCAT - bootmgr file with that from my second Windows 7 laptop and C - Windows - Boot - EFI - bootmgr.efi file too... Restarted... And thats it... Successfully booted...

Dont know which step helped (I am nearly sure that it was that SYSTEM partition), but I am dry of it (I think) and I finally finished this horrible work... Yeah a lot of killed time... But its over... I have to do some exercise... This sitting will kill me once... Not cancer or some similar thing... It will be inability to MOVE...

At last I want again to apologize for all mistakes I have done in this thread. If my ENG teacher read it she will kill me. However I have no energy to correct them. If someone will have some questions on me and my progress, just email me...
I will (probably) answer it. (liborsas@gmail.com)

Hope this thread will help someone (it wont)...
Namaste
