[SOLVED] how to reformat a time machine external hard drive

i bought a seagate external harddrive and i format it to be a time machine back up. when i plug in that harddrive into a windows computer i can't see that harddrive.

what can i do to make that harddrive viewable on the window computer?

go on disk manager and if the hdd shows up then right click and choose quick format

ya it was best just to reformat the hard drive, just back up everything on to a different hard drive then reformat
