How to reinstall windows?

So I upgraded hardware recently and I reinstalled my disk copy of windows 10 but I accidentally chose to install windows 10 pro instead of home so I'm stuck with the stupid watermark that says activate windows. I have the product key to windows home but not pro. So I'm gonna reinstall, but what's the cleanest way to do that? Do i just boot the disk and install normally and choose home or do I need to do it a certain way. I'm not trying to wipe my hard drive or anything like that so I would like to keep all my data the way it was if possible? Any help would be appreciated.

Kinda have to wipe the drive (copy your data elsewhere) or buy a copy of Windows 10 pro
