Hello! I was wondering if anyone could help me. I should point out that I'm not as good with computers as I wish I could be, so please bare with me!
A couple of years ago a friend has helped me build a PC:
Corsair Air 240
Corsair CX600
Corsair Vengeance LPX 8gb
Intel Core Skylake Processor i5-6500/3.2 GHz
Asus H170 Plus Motherboard
MSI AMD R9 380 (8 GB, PCI-E 3.0, GDDR5, 512 Bit, DVI-I, HDMI)
(I hope I've written out the above list correctly)
A few years ago, I was playing Sims and all of a sudden my screen went black. Since then I've just been relying on the integrated graphics and it's been fine. I've never been a gamer or anything, but like many people I've enjoyed playing sims since being a child. I havent even tried launching it using the integrated graphics card because 1. It probably isn't good enough and 2. I dont want to risk something happening with the integrated graphics too.
From reading other forums I've come to the conclusion that my GPU simply must have died. Sad but that's okay - I'm happy to buy a new graphics card. Nothing too fancy or expensive as it would mainly be to play sims once in a while.
The problem is that I have no idea how to remove this damn GPU so it's been attached to the motherboard all this time. I know it's a stupid thing to ask about but I thought that's better than trying to figure this out myself.
So I guess I'm wondering about:
Thank you in advance!

So I guess I'm wondering about:
- Is there anything else i can do apart from getting a new GPU?
- How do I remove this thing?
- What's a decent graphics card that I could buy as a replacement?
Thank you in advance!
