Hi there!

I'd like to know how to remove the worthless PQSERVICE partition from my PC. From what I know, it's a recovery partition that's found on Acer computers. That seems right since the hard drive I'm using is from an old Acer Aspire PC of ours. I'd like to regain the space it's taking up so that I can install more programs, games etc.

Can anyone help me out here? I hope this process is possible. I don't want to brick my PC haha.

Thanks 😀

(running Win 7 Ultimate 32-bit)

Go to the start menu, then right click on Computer and select Manage. Once in Computer Management go to Storage and then Disk Management. In the center pane you will see all of your partitions listed and one of them should be listed as PQSERVICE. Right click on PQSERVICE and select Delete Volume. Once that is removed right click on your OS partition and select Extend Volume to increase it to taking up the available space.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this. Remember, once you have selected Delete Volume you will no longer have the PQSERVICE partition and it would be very difficult to recover.
