Question How to remove read only on USB?

Hi I just bought a 64G stick and while loading data on it I had a power outage and now it's on read only, I tried using diskpart and it says read only is cleared but when I check it's still on, tried regedit and still nothing works, I even tried to verify if the USB is legit and it is. Can you help me sort this issue

If the drive suddenly ended up being Read-only, that would indicate that the drive is kaput. That is further solidified after seeing what you've mentioned above, prior to creating this thread.

If you are really desperaux you can try to image something to the usb to see if you can get it to unstuck, you can use windows installation media a linux distro anything you want.

Be extra super careful that on the target screen the usb in question is selected and not something else because it will destroy the data on anything else.
The idea being that the partition table is corrupted and cloning a working one on top of it might make it so that diskpart will then be able to clean the disk.
