If the monitor is under warranty, best not tamper with it in any way. On another note, if you do open up the side panel you're going to need tools such as a spudger and a plastic pick to pry the plastic housing of the display.

That being said, once you do open her up, what do you intend to do to the display?

thanks for reply. no it's not in warranty. I have plenty of tools. actually this monitor's left side is little bit dimmer than the right side and I just wanna fix it. I read on the internet and somebody said it can be LED strip issue or the circuit board not providing proper power to it.
I have not used this monitor for around two years cuz i don't have desktop anymore I connect it with my laptop few days ago and found this issue.
