How to remove the extra password before laptop startup? I don't want it anymore.

When I start up my computer, there is a black screen with a password box before Windows starts and asks for the login password for my account. I set it up on accident one day (something had gone wrong and the computer was starting up weirdly, and asked me if I wanted to add a password.) and I don't know how to undo it. Is it a setting on the computer somewhere? Please help. I'm tired of having to type in two passwords every time.

the first password is likely from the bios. you most likely need to get into the bios at start-up and disable that password from there. usually a specific key you have to push when pc posts. like f10, f12 or sometimes the del key.
