How to remove write protection from sd card

Hello,
i try to paste my photos on my sd card but the only thing it shows is "remove write protection from the card" what can i do?

There is a small slider button on the side of the SD. Slide it to the unlock position.

Take the card out and look on the side - there is a switch there. Up is unlocked, down is locked (locked=write protected).
Some cheaper cards can have the switch pushed down when inserted into a reader.
Also, if you are connecting the SD card through a camera or alike device (not a dedicated SD card reader) then the device may not allow writing through the device.

Most likely it's because the switch is moved though...
