How to repair a corrupted hard disk partition

Hello,can any one help me on how to repair a corrupt hard disk partition.

Are you trying to get data from it? That can be very tricky. You can delete and reformat it. Thats really all you can do. You may want to make sure the disk isn't damaged too.

There are many 3rd party utilities available for getting data off corrupt partitions. The question is how important is the data and does the drive have any mechanical defects. If its mechanical its going to cost you more in order to retrieve the data from the drive.

Give us as much info as you can about it.

Make, Model #,size, how it is partitioned, internal or external drive, If your boot drive or a secondary drive, exactly what is listed in the lower graphical area of Disk Management regarding this drive? Did the drive become unavailable, or tell you to reformat it, or any important error code?
