How to repair missing desktop in xp

Hi my pc desktop are missing and i can't fix it I try all of the possible cause but nothing is happened I can't format it coz all my file work is here

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

Go into Windows Explorer and navigate to Documents and Settings>{yourname}> and right click the folder Desktop. If there's a tick in the Hidden box, remove it, click Apply and OK your way out.
