how to restore personal data from asus eee pc 1005p backup

Hi,
I wanted to ask if the Asus eee pc 1005p backs up your personal data when running the Asus backup/recovery console. Because I thought it did but when I finished the whole process it was like a new and nothing from the personal data was saved/backup at all. This is really frustrating as the recovery console asked to backup the important data on another drive/usb which I did through the Asus recovery console but when I ran the recovery console back from the usb drive it worked well for the system but all my data and software were NO longer there. Please help..!!!

What kind of personal data are you hoping to recover? Is it even yours? Doubt youll get much help here with this.

Its the usual personal data like documents, projects, photos and stuff like this.......I was shocked to see nothing in there although when it asked me to create backup I was of the view that it backups esp. your personal data. Because otherwise why not install a fresh copy if your data is lost......Any idea if it can be recovered??
