How to revert windows 7 64 bit to 32 bit

Hello,
i have an asus laptop when i got it it had windows 7 32 bit it ran great bet computer ive ever owned but it took a fall and the harddrive broke i got a new one and had to rebuy windows everyone told me to get 64 bit so i did but now my usbs are not working and my speakers dont work same with videos to oh and during start up it lags real bad and can take almost 20 min to start but some times it takes only seconds ive looked at the main drivers they are all in 32 bit and ive done all the updates in the world for it but it still dont work i want to go back to 32 to see if i can get it running again please can u give me a step by step to revert to 32?

You have to reinstall.

Or you can try and find 64 bit driver. I am pretty sure they exist. Which model of ASUS laptop is it?

You can't revert that I know of. You can however do a clean install of the 32bit version. It'll be just like installing 64bit.

You can use your 64bit disk so long as you bought a retail copy, if you bought an OEM/System Builder copy then you must find an image for Windows 7 *Insert Your version here* 32bit SP1

Google is your friend, make sure you look for an MSDN copy and use a Hash Calc tool to check the SHA-1 hash on the .iso you find.

Why did you buy another copy of windows 7?

You should have just reinstalled windows with your cd-key.

You can grab any 32bit/64bit cd and installed that with your key(it will install the 32 or 64 bit that is on the cd)

only the Retail DVD contains both, I sent him a PM with instructions on how to acquire a copy of the disc from a valid download location to assure he gets an untouched copy of the disk.

He didn't specify if he bought it retail or not, if he or she did, they can just use that key and disk to install again but selecting 32bit instead.

you also should have been able to get the system restore disks from ASUS for a few bucks. Your issues are related to drivers and I am sure they have 64bit ones. in anycase I'd get the disks from ASUS if yih still have problems.

if you bought retail save that license for another build. if you bought OEM... well. I'd still install with the laptops key even though you've probably locked what you bought to that hardware now. and try an convince Microsoft to let you put it on something else
