I have many windows open in Firefox. When hovering over the Taskbar Firefox icon I always got a jump list of open Firefox tabs (one per window). By hovering or clicking on the bottom of the list I could scroll down, so all open tabs were available to choose from (ie. to click and therefore display the window). This functionality has disappeared. The list now shows a maximum of 18 open tabs (windows) with no means of scrolling down to see any others. This means I can only use 18 windows as window 19 onwards are just missing from the list, or at least, I can't see them.
I have tried many things to get back the functionality. Nothing has worked. I suspect it is some registry setting but if so I can't find it. I also think it may be to do with screen resolution, I'm not sure, but playing around with that changes the number of items in the list, but I can't get more than 18 that way, I can only reduce the number.
There's a couple of other things and I don't know if they are significant or not, the Firefox Icon has another Firefox Icon sort of hiding behind it but I can't separate them into two icons, These Firefox icons are highlighted all the time even when some other app has the current window focus. Additionally some entries in the jump list are highlighted, usually two or three, for no reason, in fact I've never seen this before the problem started.
I think this problem started after the latest Windows update but I am not sure. There's nothing else happened - one minute it was all working as usual, the next all this started up. I hadn't installed any new software or hardware or changed any system settings.
Can anyone throw any light on this mystery. It is very frustrating not being able to access all my Firefox windows (but I think it is a Windows problem not Firefox).
