Hi. I have a canon printer TS5051. When I am printing I have a pop up window showing ink levels. Is there anyway of finding this exe file to launch it when the printer is running. It only comes up when actualy printing. There should be a list of all running apps. I could find it this way maybe.

TIA Desmond.

On my Canon printer these are the steps to see ink levels:

  1. Make sure printer is online/switched on.
  2. Click on "Print" from within an application to open the Canon print system dialog.
  3. Click on "Preferences".
  4. Click on the "Maintenance" tab.
  5. Click on "View Printer Status" button.

Ink levels should be shown at bottom-right of screen.

Close or cancel all printer dialog boxes when done.

The ink levels is only available during printing. I could do with seing this at any time. Finding the EXE and having a shortcut to desktop is needed.

Clicking on Print does not open the canon print system. It opens the MS word print options. No prefrences on the MS Print. Only pages, one sided etc.

Need the EXE file itself.

Print file is only available in the tool tray BREEFLY while printing.

I have no access to the canon exe. All I see is a rundll.exe

I will have to contact Canon tomorrow. THey must have an app for this. This used to work before I was told to download the latest software. The latest software did not have all the beels and whistles that came on the DVD.
