How to send a file reliable through internet?

Hi everyone.
I want to send some large files to my friend, but I don't want to use IM tool or FTP, they cannot pause and they cannot promise the integrity, Are there any method to transfer file as reliable as torrenting(a good torrent tool will check file in pieces while downloading)?

Its not Noob Easy but 50gb of Storage and 10GB of upload that resets every 30 minutes it's worth a try. I use this to store my 3d Studio Max and SolidWorks Projects.

You can also use Hamachi to set up a VPN between yor PC and his then use any Torrent Program you want, I use Utorrent in most cases as it is easy to setup.

And I didn't find any mentions about hash or integrity check...
