How to set ram speed? Need help.

S I have a question.

My ram RAM is 1866 but bios BIOS shows its running at 1600. Ay idea why? Shoul I change it and how?

Here are my specs

i7 3770K
ASUS P8Z77-V PRO
Gigabyte HD 7970 Ghz Edition 3gb
Corsair HX850
G.Skill Sniper 16GB (2x8gb) SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900)

Go to Ai Tweaker and enable X.M.P profile.

its fine.no problem.If you want the manufactured speed you need to overclock.

You can set the xmp profile and get it to run at 1866 or just stay at 1600, either way, it won't affect the performance.

Hopping to 1866 from 1600 will give you neglible improvements.

well you paid for 1866 and it wont hurt anything to run it at 1866 so might as well. you should be able to just go in and manually set the mem frequency to 1866 and manually set your timings instead of just enabling the xmp profile.

However, they are right on the above posts. As far as performance you can actually NOTICE outside of numbers on a benchmark, you'll have the exact same experience regardless of 1866 or 1600. Good luck
