I have 4x KHX1886C9D3/8GX or Kingston Hyper X Savage 1866Mhz DDR3 Ram I am using the ASUS 970 PRO GAMING/AURA Motherboard.
I cannot seem to get my Memory to run at 1886 MHz?
I am running a AMD 8320E Processor.
and a 980TI graphics card.
Power Supply is 850 Watts.

For some reaosn on CPU-Z it says Max Badwidth PC3-12800 (800 MHz) does that mean that I can't use the XMP-1866
which says
933MHz
with 9-10-11-27-44-2T Timing

Please note its currently runing at 1333Mhz for some reason.
Thats why I am trying to make sure it runs at 1866Mhz

Please help the Asus Bios Menu is soo confusing!
Thanks.

My question is:
How can I correctly configure 8x HyperX Savage 8GB 1866MHZ Ram on the Bios of my ASUS 970 PRO GAMING/AURA motherboard?

Look in the BIOS, I believe they use DOCP on this mobo for auto memory setup, enable it and select 1866 (else if no DOCP look for XMP. Can also set the DRAM settings to manual and input 1866, the timings, and will prob need about 1.56 for DRAM voltage and about 1.25 for the CPU/NB voltage

Hello, I have attempted to use the DOCP with no success.
My computer keeps booting up saying OC Failed.
Should I not enable OC Tuner when doing this?
and what should the correct Dram Timing be?
is this Memory even compatible with this motherboard at 1866MHZ cause the problem is now it won't run at 1600MHz its only runing at 1333MHz for some reason.
I don't understand why the configuration is giving me issues. Thank you.

Whoa wait.
What do you mean is there actually a Kit for 4x 8GB DDR3 1866mhz Ram Savage from Kingston that would enable this configuration to work?
Because I am using 2x Kits of 16GB (2x8GB DDR3 1866mhz Ram Savage from Kingston)
I will attempt this.
[1600 9-9-9-24 1.56 and CPU/NB voltage at 1.25 ]
Also, do you recommend I keep both 2x Kits together on the Ram Slots?
I think mixed them to try to mitigate the issue. But ignorance is bliss.
Thank you.

Also are you telling me I will only be able to run the Memory at 1600mhz? not 1866mhz?

ASUS 970 PRO GAMING/AURA is a dual channel motherboard.
AMD 8320E as well as other FX processors support:
1866MHz speed with one DIMM per channel
1600MHz speed with two DIMMs per channel
Higher frequencies require an overclocked system.

Kingston HyperX Savage 32GB Kit (4x8GB) 1866MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM XMP (HX318C9SRK4/32)

The memories rated frequency and timings no longer apply when you start mixing multiple kits or multiple singles.

There are no guarantees when mixing sets of DRAM, it's a crapshoot, they might play, might not, more on this in my Fiction article (Items 2 & 6)

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/ddr-dram-myths,4155.html

I'd try them at 1600 as described, if they will play at that we could try going to 1866. As far as sepecs go you can sort of toss those out the window, AMD states 'UP to 1866' at 1 stick per channel, many of the lower FX CPUs can't even handle 1866, and others can do well better, I run 4x8GB of 2400 with my 8370, it all depends on the MC in your individual CPU as well as your skills with DRAM as far as what you can run

uhh sorry the MC in my individual CPU?
what does MC mean?
and on the Bios of this mother board how would I change the Voltage?

Yes I know in the Bios but where because the specific location in the bios is my cause for confusion. Also should I enable the OC tuner or leave it off?

I've read the manual, it wasn't clear I'll update with my findings Thank you.
