[SOLVED] how to set up my router?

I wanted to set up my new NetGear router. So at the time of set up I have given 192.168.254.254 which is a default IP address as a login credential. But I couldn't access the IP address after trying many times. What should I do now?

That is not one of the common IP addresses used by netgear you need to look in the manual and make sure you have the proper ip address.

The method that tends to always work is issue the ipconfig command. The gateway IP should be your router.

I think you may be entering the wrong IP Address for access to the configuration utility with a Netgear router.
I've never known Netgear use 192.168.254.254

It's usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 for Netgear routers:
