How to setup an connection specific dns suffix

I dont know why or how to fix it but my laptop crashed i rebooted it then my internet went out. I finally setup the internet and im only getting 10Mbps on my laptop and it wont load anything. Also my ethernet cable isn't working which is really making me mad. So if you can help please. It will be much apreciated.
