How to setup crossfire

Hey guys i got my parents to buy me a gtx 680 for my birthday to upgrade my old radeon 6970. neways i was wondering how to set them up in crossfire for max speed. I installed both of them but i dont think its working. maybe i installed the wrong drivers? what do i do?

You can not use a radeon and GTX in any sort of crossfire/SLI setup. You can only SLI the same model and only crossfire in the same group (6950\6970). Remove the 6970, uninstall its drivers, and use the 680

lol ok that makes sense. I wasn't sure if it'd work but I was hoping it would. I will sell my 6970 then.
