How to setup Windows Server 2012?

So I have a PC that I built early last year. I can't quite remember the specs exactly.
They are as follows:
AMD APU 6400k
Some gigabyte motherboard fm2 something something model #.
Raid Card > 4x1TB HDD in raid 5 I believe.
Some SSD with the Windows Server 2012 installed.
Corsair cx430.

Please Note: I have windows server 2012 installed, I have the updates all installed and select services installed like file share.

My question is how do I setup the server software to have it recognized on my network and have my main computer be able to back up on to it.
My other question: Is it possible to have that thing connect wirelessly to the network and my laptop/other devices be able to see it and then access the files remotely say for pictures/videos.

So my smart tv would be able to access it and play videos/pictures?

If the other computers on your network can't see the system is most likely due to the windows firewall. Don't disable it but instead set it to allow allow any traffic.
