You can't hook it to the router directly since it does not support USB. You only hope is to get ICS to work. It works on many of these USB broadband but it seems a few ISP have intentionally rigged their drivers so the options do not come up. Microsoft site has some of the best descriptions on how to setup ICS in general so I will not even attempt to repeat it here.

What you need to do is take your router and run it as a AP. You want to hook the ethernet port on your PC to the lan port of the router. You must also disable DHCP on the router. So when you use ICS to connect the ethernet port to the USB it will connect the AP. The PC does not really care what is on the ethernet cable.

ICS tends to be kinda unstable at times. It was designed to share a old dialup modem. You also have made you expensive PC in a dumb router. You can use it for PC functions but if you run too much stuff it will greatly degrade the performance of the connected devices.

I would recommend you look to buy a router that supports the use of wireless broadband modems directly. Many of the TPLINK and ASUS routers do you need to look at the list of supported dongles and ISP.

Thanks bro for the solution but Right now i am on a tight budget and cant afford a new router
besides I am a newbie to all these things Can u giv me a detailed description to my problem i would be really thankful
Regards
Rahul

Like I indicated anything I would put here is inferior to what microsoft has on their site. It has screenshots and everthing. All you need do is search ICS. If it is too complex for you to follow then that is why they make routers for people who don't want to be bothered with the details.

I have the same issue. I do have a Reliance Netconnect+ (ZTE) and a I Ball Baton Wifi router. I do want to do the same thing that Rahul says.. Can anyone help us?
