Register the domain name--if it's available.

Get the domain name hosted, and set-up your email server.

If the name is available, and you register it through a hosting service, like BlueHost, you can have it working in less than a half-hour.
hey thanks for the reply but where do i set up my email server? i already have the name and it is now registered.

THAT depends on your hosting service.

In most instances, you will have some kind of hosting control panel that you have to login to. From there, you look for the section that holds your server configs. Look for email configs....probably will be listed as SMTP or POP3 configuration.

From there, it's point and click with most hosting accounts. If you have problems with that, check with the hosting tech support staff, because their methods will differ from other services.
