Hi,
I have a Dell Vostro 7590 laptop with thefollowing specs:
Windows 10 Professional
Intel Core i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz
32 GB RAM
C disk: SSD, 321 GB free of 464 GB.
This computer is extremely slow when running on battery. Yet the Windows setting via the battery icon is on High Performance.
When I go to “Control Panel / Hardware and Audio / Power Options”, I only have access to the “normal use” mode; I cannot access a “high performance” mode and I cannot change performance in this mode. In the «advanced settings», I only have access to the standby time, the screen shutdown, and the actions on low battery. But nothing about the processor or performance in general.
And if I’m looking to create a new mode, it’s the same thing, I don’t have the ability to adjust the performance.
In the «task manager», I see that my processor is running (currently) at 2%, at a speed of 1.3 GHz (for a base speed of 2.59 GHz)
So can anyone tell me how to increase battery performance to get the same as on mains?
Thank you!
Tony.
