Step 1: Remove unused files
1) Hold the Windows key & hit R
2) Type 'temp' & hit enter
3) Delete all files in the folder
4) Do the same with '%temp%' & 'prefetch'
5) Open file explorer
6) Go to your 'Downloads' folder
7) Delete everything

Step 2: Update drivers
1) Install driver booster from iobit
2) Make sure everything is up-to-date, the most important drivers are for the graphics card & chipset
3) Reboot the system

Step 3: Disabling visual effects
1) Hold the Windows key & hit 'pause break'
2) Click on 'Advanced system settings'
3) Click on settings under performance
4) Click adjust for best performance & hit apply

Step 4: Increasing virtual memory
1) You should still have the 'Performance options' window on your screen, click on the 'advanced' tab
2) Click on change
3) Click on C:
4) Select custom size and calculate your gb's of ram * 1024
5) Put your number on initial size
6) Calculate your number * 2 and put it on maximum size
7) Hit set & ok

Step 5: Checking for viruses
1) Download adwcleaner from toolslib or malwarebytes
2) Run a scan
3) Remove any infected files
