Question CPU is overheating - - - did I install the cooler wrong or is the BIOS not set right ?

My computer's CPU has been overheating and turning off and freezing, I've tried everything, we bought a new cooler, set fan and pump to max, the last thing I did was change my BIOS setting from PMW to DC mode after I had a huge crash and the CPU debug light came on. If this doesn't fix the issue I don't know what to do.
Could that have been why the pump wasn't cooling the CPU even if I had an app that was making my fan run at full speed (fan control) ?

But it isn't even a guarantee that it's my CPU overheating, the other possibility is my PSU is shorting or spiking?

I just want to know if switching from PWM to DC mode in the BIOS and maxing the fans could be the fix.

PS: I didn't want to change the fans speeds in BIOS, only as a last resort.

PC Specs
Motherboard: MSI B450M PRO-M2 Max (BIOS version is the latest one, 7B84vAL)
CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X
GPU: RTX 2060 Super OC
RAM: Gigabyte 32GB
CPU cooler: Poseidon Elite ARGB 240
PSU: 750w, about 3 years old
SSD: 500GB Samsung (don't know the model)
Monitor 75Hz Samsung (don't know the model)
OS: Windows 11

reset the BIOS by jumper and check temperature again
how hot is it getting after about 5moinutes sitting in bios?

where did you connect the pump and fan connector on the motherboard?

did you remove the foil on the new cooler before installing it onto the cpu with new thermal paste?

Switching from PWM to DC mode in the BIOS could help if your pump wasn’t running at full speed before. However, if your CPU is still overheating and shutting down, check if the pump is properly connected and functioning. Also, reapply thermal paste and ensure the cooler is mounted correctly. If the issue persists, your PSU could be causing instability, so testing with a different PSU might help. Monitor CPU temps with HWMonitor to confirm if overheating is the real cause,
