How to stop annoying shut downs of windows

Hello,
when i close one window, it makes all windows shut down. How do i stop my computer from doing this

closing the window is causing explorer to crash. there is something wrong with your operating system and might need a reinstall. what operating system are you using and what kind of computer, what "window" are you closing that causes crash?
