[SOLVED] How to stop Onedrive files uploading to new computer

Hi, I'm upgrading my computer, and as I'm upgrading my CPU and motherboard, I'm doing a clean install of Windows 11. As my old computer and my new one will be linked to the same Microsoft account, however, I am concerned that all my old files from my OneDrive will download to my new computer. I will be using a physical drive for transferring my old files over, so I would prefer they didn't transfer over with OneDrive as I don't want duplicate files. Does anyone know how I can make sure my old OneDrive files don't get transferred to my new install?

It’s easier to have OneDrive do it. What do you store in OneDrive it’s just for data

i have all my music on Onedrive, 39.8gb. I didn't care if it downloaded but I can see others not wanting it all. Might have movies or something up there.
Helps I got 1tb of space via an office subscription.

Me too all my movies television and Music are up there and I keep it on a separate data drive so that when I do rebuild windows or do any modifications all it has to do is check and not download so no bandwidth is wasted
