If you just received a new system (brand new, prebuilt), how should you test it to ensure that everything is working as it should and that you received the correct part for the specification? What would you do as a checklist to make sure everything is good to go?

Solution
that you received the correct part for the specification?
check your invoice and/or product description,
compare listed devices to the physical models actually installed in the system,
see if your components match.

many times they will have skimped on power supply, drives, and motherboard so be sure if you selected a certain product that it is actually included.

for testing stability & performance run some benchmarks;
Cinebench, Prime95, 3DMark, etc.

Run a pass of this.
PC Benchmark

It's a quick and basic benchmark that will show the parts you have and some other info.
It will not show what psu you have.....that needs the eyeball test.
