How to test if new graphics card is working properly

Hi ive just received and installed my asus strix gtx 1070 and wondering is there a way to make sure that its working correctly to make sure its not damaged etc

You would need to install the card in a system to test it. If purchased from a retailer it's pretty much guaranteed to work.

There are all kinds of good benchmarks. Unigine makes Valley and Heaven which are both good. You could run FurMark to stress the GPU to make sure your temps are good. 3DMark has many benchmarks, the latest being 3DMark (oddly enough) which has Time Spy a DX12 benchmark.

Oh, also forgot the Cinebench R15 has a GPU benchmark for OpenGL.
