How to test PSU? is ti stable?

Solution

Only with a new power supply with better design.

The review of the Topower PowerBird 1100W, that I've read, said:

Having six 12V rails which can only output up to 20A each can easily throw the PSU off-balance if only one or two lines are heavily loaded (due to very power-hungry GFX cards for example) and cause problems, even random shutdowns.

One R9 280X should not be running from two PCIe power connectors connected to the same color PCIe (e.g. two light blue PCIe or two dark blue PCIe) connectors on the PSU's modular interface panel.

PowerBird 1100WSE PS, but there is link to my PSU :)

its turns of and thats it, no restart..

no nothing about kernel powet and etc...

Yes i go to my motherboard site download all drivers and install, same whit video cards and ssd..

ok now i know why its turns off, my new card is buggy go to shop to change..

i test it one card and then new card new card turns off when i start play games.. something wrong whit the card.. whit old one everyting is fine i can play how mych i want 😀

Atcualy i have option automacly download from web and i did that..

Yes 280x and 280 video cards...

Is each PCIe power connector that is connected to the two graphics cards on separate +12V rails?

Each Gigabyte R9 280X can reach around 244 Watts during gaming. That's a little over 20 Amps from the +12V rail for each card.

If you don't properly distribute the power draw from the +12V rails you will risk triggering the OCP (i.e. Over Current Protection) circuit for the overloaded rail.

i have lasted bios.. M5A99FX pro 2,0_ lasted bios on manufacters site is 2501

Yes they connected seperate..

I test my psu,

my 2 outputs i think not wirking correctly..

I take old video card and and connect it to 1 and 2 it turns off when i start play games..

Then i take same card and connect 4 and 2 and now i can play all games and its not tuning off..

1 or 5 outputs not working corretly.. maby one of them.. becouse i connect other card in 1 and 5 in crossfire and its shuts down agan when i start play games..

[ 1 ] [ 2 ] appear to be on the same +12V6 rail and would be overloaded.
[ 4 ] [ 5 ] appear to be on the +12V5 rail and would also overload with one Gigabyte R9 280X during gaming.

Using [ 2 ] and [ 4 ] would be on two different +12V rails and that's why it works.

That Topower PowerBird 1100WSE cannot properly handle two Gigabyte R9 280X in 2-way CrossFire mode while gaming.

Solution

Can u help me choose new PSU for price per power?

Im from latvia, and i dont know yet, if cheper then its better.. just 2 weeks ago by second r9 280x...

do u think this will be good and it will handle both r9's? EVGA SUPERNOVA 120-G2-1000-XR
