How to test the PSU?

Hi all,

I bought a relatively expensive PSU and I would really like to test whether it is performing as required. Does anybody have an idea how I should perform the tests?

Should I buy this component:

Or is there any reliable software which I might use to test the PSU.

All that thing is going to tell you is if the power supply functions and is supplying the correct voltages. If its powering your PC right now then buying that tester would be pointless. You need very expensive specialized equipment and training on how to use it if you want to measure the performance of a psu in terms of voltage regulation, efficiency, ripple, etc. If you have a corsair psu with corsair link you may be able to get some basic info, but beyond that I know of no software with that type of functionality.
