How to Test USB power from Motherboard

Is there a simple way to test the power output of one of the usb ports on my motherboard? I have a 40 foot long active USB extension cable and want to make sure the port is powered up enough.

I guess that depends on what equipment you have. If you have the proper equipment, I doubt you would be asking though.

What is your target current delivery? Or are you asking about voltage?

What revision of USB? What Type (A, B, C, Mini, Micro)?

Is this active cable powered independently? What is the rating they give it?

I guess I want to make sure it is 5V all the time and whatever else is needed to make this cable work with a mouse andkeyboard.

USB A.

USB 2.0 port.

I don't think it is self powered as it does not plug into the wall or anything but does have a booster in the middle of the cable. Here is the link to the actual cable if that helps

I wouldn't worry too much on a keyboard/mouse they have very little power draw.

Looks like they are pulling all the power from your USB port, I would plug it into a USB 3.0 port if you have one, or whichever ports are colored on your system. Yellow/Red are often used to indicate always on/charging ports.
