I installed windows 8.1 when I did this build, but now I'm running into issue's with specific games that I play. So I want to remove 8.1 and replace it with the windows 7 that I purchased...can some one give a quick walk through here? Thanks in advance.

Solution
On the new UEFI systems, the BIOS no longer exists like before. There's no "F" key to press to get into it. They don't work anymore. On Win 8 you could go into PC Settings and make it boot to the BIOS and switch to boot to the DVD. Win 8.1 has removed this option and I'm currently looking for an answer myself, which is how I got here.

EDIT: Win 8.1 just moved the above to a different place. To get to the BIOS just click the following:

Open Charms bar,
Settings,
PC Settings,
Recovery and Update,
Recovery,
Advanced Startup,
Troubleshoot,
Advanced Options,
UEFI Firmware Settings,
Click Restart.

It will now reboot to the BIOS. Isn't that a lot simpler than just pressing F2 when you boot? This is hands-down the dumbest thing I...

There is just enough of a difference that my external drive with my $500.00 worth of songs has lost it's sound drive "DirectX", now I have to see if I can find this "DirectX" or even if it's available. 8.1 screwed up all of my music!!!!

DirectX has nothing to do with music files.

I would say to anyone going back to Win 7 From 8/8.1, to get the Win 7 Drivers First!!! Before you wipe the drive(s) Clean. Put them on a flash Drive and you'll have them.
The Only Problem that some peeps on this forum are saying that they ( the Win 7 Drivers) Have to be installed in a Special order. Meaning 1 driver : Sound
2nd Ethernet.and so on..but who knows the correct order??? Dram said that he had to contact someone at Toshiba to get the correct order to load each driver. So I don't know if Everyone is having this issue, but like I said, B4 you wipe Win 8, try to get the win 7 drivers you need, put them on a Flash Drive, Then wipe the Drive(s) Clean,
Godd Luck to ALL!!!!! Hopefully MS wil have a New OS for us within a year?? Guess we'el see???

IF you are like me and you have an ASUS r503c laptop with win8.1, when you go to boot to disk, good luck, it never works so I took the same iso and put it on a usb drive. Then when u boot to BIOS you can boot directly to your usb drive and it works mint. Quickly Format All drives... well delete the partitions first. And Install. Its beautiful Ive been battling with this dumb 8.1 Laptop and finally got it. Success is Wonderful. You can us Windows USB/DVD to PUT your iso on your USB drive and make it Bootable. Good Luck Fellas..... P.S. Get Rid of Windows 8.1 ASAP. It BLOWS.... (however Windows 10 is now out if you have windows 7 and u get free upgrade... they brought the startbar back just like before and overall its suppose to be a faster cleaner version of windows 7.... thats Right windows 8 is in the TRASH 😀

But Thanks Again!!!
