How to Upgrade From AMD to Intel

Hey I'm upgrading my Amd based Pc to an Intel one.
And I wanted to know what steps I had to go through to do it,
What I mean by this is things such as Deleting my Drivers, or Backing up my SSD/Hdd

This was my old build:
AMD Fx-6300
Asus M5A97 Le R2.0
Asus Radeon R9 270
Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz

This is my new one:
Intel i7 4790k
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5
Asus Radeon R9 270 (Same Card)
HyperX Savage 8GB 2400MHz

CPUs don't use drivers, and you wont need to back up your data, however you may need to uninstall the old motherboard drivers. That is all!

Going from an AMD to an Intel platform, you will almost certainly need to do a full reinstall of the OS and everything else.

There is a tiny chance your system will just boot up with the new hardware, but most likely not. And then what will you do if you have not prepared for that eventuality?

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it does, but issues crop up later. The farther apart your hardware, the less likely it is to 'just boot up'.

Prepare for a full reinstall.
