How to upgrade the AMD A6-5400K CPU?

Hi, I have no knowledge whatsoever on computer hardware and I'm wondering if I can upgrade my A6-5400K Trinity? My computer broke down a few months ago and I was looking for an affordable comp and I stumbled across the A6-5400K. However I realized after running on it, it is substantially slower than my old computer. Not only for gaming, but I can barely surf the internet without little lags and delays. Should I upgrade the graphics card? How should I do it? Or is the slowness due to too little RAM?

Wow, so you ask us about your RAM, but don't tell us how much you have?

What computer did you have before?

Do you have a discrete graphics card or are you using the integrated graphics on the A6-5400K? If so, then RAM makes a huge difference and especially of you can get high-speed RAM.

1, Get FM2/FM2+ CPU (Athlon x4 860K would be what I'd recommend)
2, Remove existing CPU from socket
3, Put new CPU in socket
4, Reapply thermal paste and put cooler back on the motherboard

A6 5400K has only 2core/threads and is relatively slow .

Option 1 : you get A10 5800K for $108 .It has 4 cores and is at least 2x faster and has better iGPU with 2x more graphics sream processors(shaders) 384 vs 194 . Just if the mobo really supports 5800K

Option 2 is to get a faster GPU like R7 260X

The Athlon x4 860K is WAY better.

860K would need a dedicated GPU thus incresing the cost

Sorry, like I said, I don't know anything about computers. I have 4GB of RAM and I'm using the integrated graphics from the CPU. I'd spend another $150 max for an upgrade. Thanks for the suggestions though.
