Hi,

My motherboard, which has integrated VGA card, Audio card, Network card, seems to be defective. However, the HDD(40GB), Power Supply, and Intel P 4 processor(3.00 GHz) are still intact.
My local HDD has a STAT connector. However, it seems as though it is ancient.
If I want to benefit from the HDD as an exteranl HDD, how to do that?
Any suggetions would be highly appreciated.

Your better off getting a new external hard drive, 40GB is not a lot of space and I for see you running into more problems then it is worth. On top of that a hard drive that old is probably using an IDE connection instead of SATA which complicates things because you will need to find compatible hardware for converting that to something useable like SATA or USB.

Could you please understand me?
Firstly: If I don't utilize my HDD, it would be rubbish?

Secondly: I hear about a way which can let me cover my local HDD, and use it as an external HDD to be connected to any USB port for any computer.

Finally:My local HDD has a STATA connector. However, it seems as though it is ancient. Also, the motherboard on which it came has a two STATA connnectors.
