How to use HDD Head Read/write to read micro-magnetics fields?

Hello Guys,

Someone can tell me if Is possible to creat an external circuit using the HDD Head Read/Write like a sensor, to read micro-magnetics fields?

Can I remove the HDD head and control this?

I'm Pedro, I'm from Brazil, so... Sorry about my english.

Yeah, but can I control the head? Maybe with arduino or others microcontroller.

Well HD are magnetic-based, it's designed to do that, so what new thing are you trying to invent? The reading surface is designed to be super-close to the heads, so close that the whole thing is manufactured in a clean room, because any dust getting between the platters and the head can damage, so I don't know where you are going with this.
