[SOLVED] How to use laptop as main monitor for new PC?

i bought a rx5500xt and my old monitor has only vga and it is 720p display

i have a full hd gaming laptop with a 950m

so is there any way to use the laptops monitor for primary gaming?

Not really, you could run capture software but the input lag would be terrible and make actually gaming atrocious.

The only way you could use your old laptop screen as a "true" display would be to dismantle the laptop, harvest the screen then buy a display driver board (usually 10-25 dollars) and powersupply (pretty cheap as the screen doesnt use all that much power).

But in all honestly it would be easier and probably cheaper to go on eBay and find one of the countless used monitors,you can find the very popular (until recently) Acer GN246 for well under 100 USD used. They are not really anything special as far as a monitor goes and you can only...
