how to watch your cpu temperature while gaming?

I would want to see my cpu temperature while gaming because i moved the cpu cooler while installing it and i feel like the thermal paste isnt applied well. I get only around 30-40 fps while playing ac unity (patch 1.2) at ultra high settings and msi gaming app at OC mode and 50-60 fps while playing far cry 4.There are many options for watching your temp in the internet but what would be the best? Also what is the normal temperature for a cpu while gaming?

Do you have a second monitor? If yes, then just have hwinfo64 open on your second screen while you play

http://openhardwaremonitor.org/ is a popular temp tool. Shows voltage and fan info also.

A normal temp is hard to say, there are a number of variables. Case, cooling, airflow, room temp.

You can report your temps to use with Idle and load and we can go from there, I would think you will be seeing 60's 65C under load and that's normal. If you start going over 65-70 and its still climbing we will go from there.

What if your openhardware monitor doesn't show CPU temp? Or doesn't label it at least. Says some temperature is 70+, but blowing very cool air and running fine.

cpuid doesn't show it exactly either.
