Look under the thread "Overclocking GTS, post: Tmim16". I wrote down the registry hack in one of my messages. Follow the intructions carefully, and you'll be fine. You can also find the information at anandtech.com. There is a whole section devoted to overclocking GeForce2 GTS cards.

I'm pretty sure that the latest Detonator 3 drivers put the overclocking utility into display properties automatically. They're the 6.31 drivers- i could be wrong... I might have used the registry hack and just forgot- I dunno. I'm a moron.

I'm a moron,too ... glad that I'm not alone! LOL!

But nope ... I'm running the 6.31 drivers, and unfortunately, they don't automatically (and conveniently) put the utility into display properties. I had to use the Registry hack. I remember installing Detonator 5x drivers that added the utility when working with GeForce 256 cards early last year ... but that stopped.

Does anyone have an idea of when that stopped? For people with older GeForce cards, it would be nice to know when hacking the Registry became necessary for overclocking. Lots of tech support happens over the phone ... and information like this could be useful. (It's always the little things ... and I've obviously forgotten this one!) Did it end with the Det 6x driver series?
