How would I go about doing a out of case boot test?

How would I go about doing an out of case boot test, and is it really needed. My build is below if it helps.

On mobo you have big red button with "Start" when you everything plug in press button

Ah that is handy, what do I need to plug into the Mobo for this to work. I am using a water cooler (AIO) so do I use this rather than the stock.

install CPU and CPU cooler * plug in CPU cooler pwer cable to mobo.
To mobo plug 24pin and 8pin cables from PSU * Open mobo manual and read it 😉
To GPU plug in PCIE power cables from PSU
Insert rams stick to slots
Plug in keyboard * you need this to check everything in BIOS
Conect monitor to GPU.
Put PSU on side turn on.

Press red button * (and start nuclear war 😉
