How Would I go about doing this? (unistalling old windows and installing new windows for new setup)

Alright im upgrading my pc from the q8200 to the intel i5 4690 and buying a new board....

The quesiton/problem/confusion i have is....(kinda hard to word this)

Since i have to install a fresh copy of windows, do i need to format the hdd? How would one do this.... I dont want to buy another hardrive if i dont have to.... The current os i have is windows 10 and thats also the same os i will be installing..... I mean i dont want to have two windows 10 64bit installed on my computer :|

When changing motherboard always format and do a clean install.you don't have to buy a new HDD
