Well I recently bought this power supply:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151095

and I was wondering, which way would I put it in? With the fan facing up towards the motherboard, or facing down towards the little vent in my case (which will end up facing the floor)

My case has little things on the bottom which keeps it about an inch off the ground, but I don't think it has a dust filter.

Does the PSU fan blow IN air or OUT? Cause if it's out, it should be fine putting it with the fan facing down, right?

Help D:

The psu fan draws air into the psu and exhausts it out the rear grill.
By mounting fan down you remove the psu from doing any system cooling.
Can be done either way, it's your choice.
PS;
Fan down puts the cable bundle closer to the MB tray, makes cable management a little easier.

I have this case:

@delluser I don't see any other vent-like things like you said "exhausts air out of rear grill" so I don't see where the air would go out of.

Also, I still don't know which way to put it in because I still don't know whether my fan sucks in air or blows it out ;/.

I understand putting it down makes it easier for cable management but I don't have a dust filter, so if it sucks in air, that'l be a problem.

But if it takes in air, wouldn't I be looking at a major dust-in-fan problem? ;/
