Hi all, I'm looking to play specific games from my pc on my TV instead of my normal monitor
How would I do this?
As an example I'd like to play forza horizon 5 on my TV instead of my normal monitor, would it be possible to do this without messing up my current display? Would it be possible to choose what I want to display on so not everything trys to launch on the TV?

you can "duplicate" the screen to the tv so it shows the same on both screens. then disable the second screen when done.

or you can "extend" the display to the tv and drag the window to the tv to play that game. it will remember this is where you want it and should open to the tv each time.

i use the extend method myself when playing controller based games. much better on giant tv screen :)

Connect TV with HDMI cable.
Connect monitor with DisplayPort cable.
Configure displays to operate in mirror (clone) mode.
Sometimes clone mode can limit available screen refresh rate. Then disable other screen and refresh rate should return to normal.

Thank you both for the speedy reply! How would i go about doing any of these? And would it be possible to run the TV with my main monitor turned off to reduce burn in?

Games normally should start on the main display.
On desktop personalization, set the tv to be the main display.

To reduce burn in, set up a screen saver to kick in after a period of inactivity.
And set up a slide show to vary the background image.

It is still an issue.
I have experienced it with my LG C48 tv/monitor.
I did not think about it and used a static windows logo background on.
Yes, the image is still there.
I changed the background to a slide show of travel photos and enabled a screen saver app.
Both changes are effective.
The good news is that when playing games, the image is still outstanding.

haven't really heard much about burn in in so long i almost forgot about it. don't have an oled screen so did not notice they had the issue.

good to know.

where would i find the settings to duplicate and such the screen
Settings/System/Display or
right-click on desktop and choose "Display Settings".
