How would these components preform together?

Hi,

I am upgrading my pc to an ADM FX 8350. I need to know if there will be any bottle necks when adding certain GPUs. Here are my specs:

AMD FX 8350
32GB Hyper x fury
2 x 1tb segate barracuda
Samsung 250gb evo ssd
Gigabyte 970A-UD3P
RM1000 psu

How would this work with a 980,980ti,rx 460, r9 390x,970,1060,1070,1080.

I understand that there's a lot there, sorry. If you onlt know the answer to one please comment. I understand the 10 series will most likely be bottle necked but idk about the others. Please may you also say how they would preform on ultra on games in 1080p. GTA V would be a helpful example.

Thank you all for your time,

-Alex.

If everything IS compatible (I would imagine it is, if you don't know check out https://pcpartpicker.com/), I think its very good. The storage is good, the ram is more than enough. To be honest you should check the requirements for games (not the minimum), then compare the hardware (google it, remember that google is your friend). Hope I helped!

I already have this PC. I use it every day. I am just thinking about if i upgraded my cpu, would there be any bottle necks. Any ideas?

As I said you can go to http://pcpartpicker.com/list/ and build your current pc and change what you want to change(the gpu and the cpu).

going from a fx6300 to 8350 wont give you but about a 10-15% gain in performance in games because most games don't use that many cores so your really only gaining 500mhz on the base clock but both cpu have almost the same "boost freq"(100mhz difference). I honestly wouldn't recommend it unless your getting a great deal on the cpu (free or cheap used one)

I have the 8350 and my single 290x is restrained by my cpu. so if you want my vote based off of your current setup is just stick with it and save up for a whole new system. unless that 8350 is really cheap or free.

you can wait for amd zen to come out and see what it offers(we still don't know to much) or you can get a new generation i3 setup that would beat the 8350 in gaming talking 30+% gain depending on the actually cpu choice. having to replace the MB/cpu/ram. but your already looking at replacing the cpu and the intel cpu at the same cost as the fx cpu.

Is there anything i could do to improve the setup i have now? An older but better gpu or something? I relay would rather keep with the pc i have now rather than get a new build. I can't afford a new build and was only planning on upgrades. Is there anything?

just make sure your not thermal throttling the cpu or gpus. run a benchmark program and make sure that the cpu freq stays at max value during that time and that your not overheating it. also check the gpu and make sure your not overheating them (crossfire setups gererate more heat then a single card and reduce airflow so its important to make sure you have as good of airflow though your case as you can.

Thanks for the reply and i'm sorry that I take so long to do the same. I have looked into temp and it is the best it can be. I have thought, is there any older graphics cards that could be used without a bottle neck? Please bear in mind that they have to be better then the current setup i have now.

Thanks so much for the help guys you have made me understand this a lot more.
