My friend has a bad computer and is looking into buying a new one. What you rate a new custom build 1-10

Heres whats in it:

Case: Azza Triton Gaming Case Black
CPU: AMD FX-4100 CPU (4x 3.60GHz/4MB L2 Cache)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti - 1GB - EVGA Superclocked - Core: 981MHz
RAM: 8 GB [2 GB X4] DDR3-1600 Memory Module
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 -- AMD 970
PSU: 650 Watt - Casegears ECO-Element / 80+

He is planning on doing casual possibly hardcore in the future. Mainly minecraft 😛

What would you rate the computer on a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being best?

Any suggestions on changes? However there is a budget of 1100.

I would rate it a 4 because of the graphics card and CPU. The 550Ti is a horrible graphics card. It isn't a good graphics card for gaming at all. I would not recommend any card lower than the gtx 560Ti if you're going with Intel. The CPU is also not the best, it's very power hungry for the performance it gives. Finally, the power supply may not be the most reliable, although I'm not sure since I've never heard of the PSU before.
If you have $1100, I recommend going with the Intel i5 2500k and at least the gtx 560Ti.

Not to be hurtful, but I'd rate it pretty low.

The AMD FX series has been a pretty large disappointment, and there's not much to look forward to in the immediate future. Some of the part selections such as case and psu are brands that wouldn't necessarily be trusted. Give something like this a shot:

It will play minecraft really well .

You could spend much more but you definitely dont have to to play that game .

The only weakness in the build is the psu . Get a decent corsair or antec . 500 watts would be plenty .

So bang for buck and fitness for purpose
