I just built my new system and just want feedback on how I can make it better or if it is fine as is.

System:

Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor

ASUS P6T Deluxe/OC Palm LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

EVGA 896-P3-1267-AR GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked Edition 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card ( gonna use the step-up program and get the 280 in a little )

CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TW3X4G1333C9DHX ( really hope this is good memory and didn't waste money )

Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive ( Don't really need huge HD but I really like fast things =D , should I eventually buy a WD Velociraptor? )

Pioneer Black Blu-Ray Reader and 12X DVD±R DVD Burner SATA Model BDC-2202B

CORSAIR CMPSU-1000HX 1000W ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit ( waiting on 64-bit to be delivered )

It looks good.

I'm not sure about using 4x2GB in an X58. I thought the best choices were 3x1 or 3x2.

I don't think the Antec 900 is big enough to handle three GTX 260 cards. If you're planning that you got the wrong case. If not, the PSU is overkill.

Do install the 64-bit version. With the 32-bit you'll only be able to use about 3 GB of RAM out of 8.

Yeah, you will want to get another 2 x 2 gb ram so you'll be running tri-channel. But seeing the price of that ram, i'm wondering why you even went with it. $600 for ram --- wow

Yea prob not going to get 3 vid cards, first gonna get the 280 then maybe get another 280, i pretty sure i can fit 2 in, if not will just buy the twelve hundred full tower.

The ram wasnt 600, was like 300 for all of it, I bought only 4gb then heard i should gets another for triple channel, so decided to just buy another of what I have, if using only 6gb is the best i will just store the other 2gb.

Whats thoughts on WD Velociraptor HD? would is really make a big diff having it instead of mine?

Good. It is probably not running at it's rated speed, but at a lower jedc speed at 1.5v. Be careful if you try to run at a higher speed.
I used patriot 1600 ram, which is 1.65v, but it is running at 1.5v also at an intermidate jedc speed.
I don't think the speed really makes much difference.

Don't really know much or anythign about OC and changing speeds. So if running it at a higher speed involves me changing things and doesnt auto happen I should be safe.
