Why? It's working good. i know it's not a OCZ or Coolermaster or another big name. I'm planning on getting an OCZ 900 watt because i want to Crossfire 2 7770's or SLI(I think that board is only Croosfire supported though). The Cool Max was on sale so that's why i got it.

coolmax is a less-than-reliable brand.

you win't need 900w to crossfire 7770s even with an overclock.

your 7770s will crossfire just fine on the Seasonic S12 II 520W PSU that is $59.99 at newegg

I decided I'm probably going to Crossfire 7870. I would like to get 900 watts for future proofing or if I want to XFire or SLI cards that require more power. I just like having more wattage because the power supply is queit and doesn't have to work as hard. I may get one card that is strong like the GTX 690 instead. but that's expensive for a GPU so maybe a 590.

Your ASUS M5A97 is a 16/4 board hence i would not recommend multi GPU set ups - i also noticed w/o OS your build is about $500? This was my suggested AMD built a few days ago to a fellow forum member, featuring going for the jugular, i.e the best single GPU the budget allows ^^

There is not going to be any dual GPU config that requires 900W from now on. The GTX 580 was the last power hungry card.

batuchka, What website did you use to organize your parts like that. My pcpartpicker.com is always freezing on me now. And i know 900 watts isn't neccessary. I may go to 800 watts. And thinking over the past few days, I made my final decision on my next GPU. I'm going to use the GTX 660Ti(get it around holiday season). I wish I would've gone intel from the start but quad cores were soooo expensive. I know 2 mistakes I've made: bought an FX-4100 and used an unreliable PSU. Well live and learn. And my total was $692($230 TV/Monitor). It was more of a budget gaming. Any Intel build recommendations?
